I have been an avid photographer since growing up in Vermont in the 60s. Many of my photos from the 60s and 70s are on slides and still need scanning. Conversion to digital for me was easy but is increasingly challenging getting more than random shots that are of interest to others. I am not a photographer by profession directly, but would like to steer in that direction more. My former camera is
a Minolta Dimage 7, a 5.2 MP camera that has been many places with me. I have replaced this camera with a Nikon D80. Since discovering my wife\\\'s new point and shoot Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 could outshoot my Minolta, it was definitely time to upgrade. My camera prior to the digital age was an Olympus OM1 bought in 1978, which I still have. My darkroom back then was with a Bessler enlarger, which I used for both b&w and color enlarging, including my own wedding photos in 1980. I have several photographic interests, mostly capturing life as it comes at me.
