I have had to take photography classes as part of the required courses for graphic website design. I found that I enjoy photography very much. I currently use a Sony cybershot 5.1 megapixel camera and have more or less retired my Pentax 35mm camera. It\'s good to know how to take photos with those cameras but you save alot of money going digital and the environment is better off without all the film
developing chemicals damaging it.
Before getting into graphic design I worked mostly with animals and spent ten years working with big cats in particular. I can always appreciate a big cat photo where the photographer actually captures a good expression and position. It\'s very hard to do. A picture of a white tiger really doesn\'t mean much if the cat has droopy eyes, is faced away from the camera or if the photo is blurry from movement. The picture has to really express what a big cat is all about. I have only old slides from my days working with big cats and hope someday to restore and use them in some current work. I am an image junkie and if someone donates a photo free of charge on some website I always make sure to compliment them on their work and thank them for sharing. If I use the image as part of a project I make sure to contact them and let them know. I look forward to sharing my photos in the future.
