My professional interest in photography started in college while studying graphic design. I took the required basic photography courses and enjoyed them so much that I took all the other photography courses available to me at the time. When I graduated with a B.A. I expected to enter the design field, but the job market in my area was so tight I took the first job I could find as a portrait photographer.
I haven\'t looked back since. I\'ve been a portrait photographer for more than seven years and now own an old time photo parlor that doubles as a regular portrait studio. All the while I have been taking pictures of my surroundings on the New England coastline as well as anything that strikes me as beautiful or interesting, for personal fulfillment. Only recently have I begun to look on this part of my work as something more than just a way to relax.
