A university educated teacher and counselor, my ability to work in this capacity ended in 1997 when a form of muscular dystrophy overtook my body, putting me in a wheelchair. Since that time, I have increasingly lost the use of my hands. Undaunted, I decided to pursue my artistic interests and at 46 years of age returned to school at a local community college to study interactive and motion graphics,
visual effects and animation.
Under the direction and encouragement from an instructor, who now has become a friend, I\\\'ve learned some basic principles of digital photography and video production. My specialty is caricaturing and cartooning, and I often use my own photographs as reference for this.
An additional interest of recent days is that of digital matte painting. I admire the work of such artists as Ron Crabb and Dylan Cole.
For equipment I use: Canon Power Shot digital camera, Canon FS10 video camera, a WACOM Cintiq 21 UX, and for software I use Adobe CS 4 production premium, AutoDesk combustion, Maya 2008 & Corel painter 10.
