Even though I consider myself a professional graphic artist and web designer, my professional interests have included event/corporate photography, business photography , and multi-media presentations. I have created webinar presentations with PowerPoint slide shows, Flash presentations, Pro-Show Gold presentations, and Final Cut Pro videos. My extensive marketing background has allowed me to create
mass email campaigns, social networking, and traditional forms of marketing and advertising. Some of my career skills and knowledge include the proficiency of the following PC & MAC programs:
GRAPHICS: InDesign, Quark Xpress, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher
PRESENTATIONS: Power Point, Pro-Show Gold, Final Cut Pro, Pool Studios
WEB DESIGN: Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks, Flash, HTML, CSS, FTP, Search Engine Optimization, MIVA Merchant
HOSTED E-MAIL SOLUTIONS: Lyris, Exact Target, Topica & Vertical Response
INTERNET: RSS feeds, Word Press – Blogs, Social Networking
As a photographer I enjoy the journey of capturing a photo as much as the enhancing the finished piece. Most of the time I try to stay as close to the out of camera product, but Photoshop and my Wacom Tablet are always fun to experiment with from time to time. In portrait pieces I do try to enhance my models to present them as professionally as can!
I worked as a personal trainer for over 20 years before making a major career change into graphic arts, photography and web design. It has been interesting and very challenging to re-invent myself, but I still practice what I once taught. I work out religiously 5 days a week at the gym, and try to stay away from fast and processed food. I try to eat as organically whenever possible, and consider myself a “closet carnivore ” who mainly eats fish and chicken as my meat protein. I do try to eat more fruits and vegetables, and eat at home most of the time.
