Bio: I began as a reporter working in a bureau of a county daily newspaper and was trained by news photographers to take photos to accompany some of my articles. Later as a freelance writer and author (1,500 published magazine articles and 11 published books), some of my photo work was used in my magazine articles and two books. I began with a 35mm, SLR and now use a Nikon 300D, 12-14mp; 300mm, AF-S Nikkor, 1:4D; Nikon AF-S 2x teleconverter; Nikon, Nikkor 50mm, 4:1:1.4D; Nikon DX AFS Nikkor10-24mm; Nikon speedlight SB-900. I enjoy most taking pictures of nature and wildlife, old barns, bridges, dams, historic buildings and bucolic mountain cabins.
