Four easy steps to making the most out of Bigstock’s lightbox feature.<\/em>
\nA Bigstock lightbox is a free, helpful tool for saving a collection of Bigstock images in one place. (If you used our old site, you might remember we used to call them galleries.) Lightboxes are great for sharing images with clients and friends, and since each one has a unique URL, you can post them on blogs and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Bigstock photographers and illustrators sometimes use lighboxes to collect all their best work in one place.<\/p>\n

Below, we\u2019ll take you through some steps showing how you can create a lightbox, e-mail the link automatically using the Bigstock site, or copy and paste it into a social media site to share with friends.<\/p>\n

1. Start a lightbox.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, make sure you\u2019re signed into your Bigstock account. You can start a lightbox anywhere you see an \u201cAdd to lightbox\u201d link, including Bigstock search results pages and image detail pages.<\/p>\n

For our demonstration, let\u2019s suppose we\u2019re creating a lightbox of pictures of cute baby animals. Search for \u201cbaby panda,\u201d find an image we wanted to add, and click the \u201cAdd to lightbox\u201d link below it. You\u2019ll be given an option to create a new lightbox. Think of a name for your lightbox and click the \u201cadd to lightbox button.\u201d<\/p>\n

2. Add images.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can repeat the above process for any image. Since you\u2019ve already started a lightbox, you\u2019ll see it listed when you click any \u201cAdd to lightbox\u201d link.<\/p>\n

3. View and edit your lightbox.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can view a list of your lightboxes by clicking on the \u201clightboxes\u201d link at the top of the Bigstock site. From there, you can view or change the settings of a lightbox, including whether it\u2019s public or private. (Lightboxes are public by default.) You can also open a lightbox and remove any images you don\u2019t want to keep.<\/p>\n

4. Email or share a lightbox.<\/strong>

On every lightbox, you\u2019ll see a link that says, \u201cemail this lightbox.\u201d Click on it and you\u2019ll have the choice to send the lightbox to up to ten e-mail addresses. You\u2019ll also be able to copy a \u201cSharing URL\u201d that links directly to this lightbox.<\/p>\n

With a Sharing URL, you can copy and paste a link to the lightbox in your favorite social media site. We decided to share our baby animals lightbox on the Bigstock Facebook page<\/a>. You can also share it on Twitter, your blog, a personal web site, or anywhere else. Here\u2019s a link to the lightbox we created and shared<\/a>.<\/p>\n
