Q: What is the license for the Bigstock images available within Wix?
A: The license is similar to the Bigstock standard license, but limited to digital uses within Wix.
Q: I used an image on my Wix website. How can I find it on Bigstock?
A: You can use the same search term within the Bigstock site and look for the image using the ‘popular’ sort. If you have the image title, you can also search that way.
Q: I selected a Bigstock image on Wix for my website design. Can I also use it for a print ad or in another website builder?
A: No, Bigstock images licensed through the Wix platform are limited to uses within Wix only. In this case, you’d need to license the same image through Bigstock for your other uses.
Q: I found an image on Bigstock but not on the Wix platform. Why is that?
A: Image results may differ across the Bigstock website and the Bigstock images available within Wix. For example, 'editorial use only' images on Bigstock are not available for use in website designs.
Q: How is the Wix relationship related to my Bigstock account?
A: The Wix platform is a new and separate way to license Bigstock images. For example: if you have a 10-a-day Bigstock subscription, images you license via the Wix platform will not count against your subscription.
Q: I bought a Bigstock image from your website. Can I use it in my website design on Wix instead of using the image search within Wix?
A: Yes, you can upload the image to the Wix platform and use it in your website design at no additional charge.
Q: What are the guidelines for using Bigstock images within Wix?
A: Images licensed via Bigstock partners are governed by the below restrictions.
Users shall not:
- Use an Image in a way that places any person depicted in the Image in a bad light or in a way that they may find offensive - this includes, but is not limited to the use of Images: a) in pornography, "adult videos" or the like; b) in ads for tobacco products or other addictive substances; c) in ads or promotional materials for adult entertainment clubs or similar venues, or for escort, dating or similar services; d) in connection with political endorsements; e) in advertisements and/or promotional materials for pharmaceutical, healthcare, herbal or medical products (including, but not limited to dietary supplements, digestive aids, herbal supplements, personal hygiene or birth control products), if the use implies that the depicted person suffers from a physical or mental infirmity, ailment or condition or engages in any immoral or illegal activity; and f) in any manner that is defamatory, or contains unlawful or offensive content.
- Use an Image (in whole or in part) as a trademark, service mark, logo, or other indication of origin, or as part thereof, or to otherwise endorse or imply the endorsement of any goods and/or services.
- Use an Image in a manner that is knowingly infringing upon any third party's trademark or other intellectual property.
- Display any Image at a pixel resolution that exceeds 1200 x 800, unless i) the Image is materially overlaid by text, CSS elements, or other imagery; and ii) the Image cannot be readily unincorporated from the template.
